Salman made a statement in the media that his fellow actors are artists and not terrorists and this led to such a frenzy all over. Facebook and social media has been flooded with backlash against the actor. Many have even gone to the extent of saying that Salman Khan should be sent to Pakistan and stuff like that. At the end of it all would Salman ever be sent to Pakistan? No. There were people claiming that only they understand the sentiments of the soldiers and that if Salman was a family member of the soldiers who died in Uri then he wouldn’t have made such a statement.
I have my brother serving the Indian Reserve Battalion and at the time of joining they are well aware of the consequences yet they choose to serve the nation and sacrifice their time and life for their country and we respect that and are proud of their choice. Infact we stand by them at every point as to enable them to put their duty and nation before the family. Why do we always forget the main problem and start focusing on the wrong stuff? Suddenly people have put Salman in the spot light and the soldiers who have sacrified their lives have been given a backstage.
Salman Khan here was just supporting talented actors who come and work hard here to make a living. Is there something wrong in that? He hasn’t said that we should in any way promote terrorism or that he supports the killings of the soldiers in Uri. Salman has done just what any individual would do when he saw something wrong happening to his fellow workers. Same would be the case in any other field.
A tattoo artist would stand up against the injustice done to other tattoo artists, a musician would definitely support fellow musicians and so would a tiartist in Goa support his fellow workers if the need arises. These actors weren’t involved in the blasts in any way so why should they face the brunt of it unnecessarily. Innocent soldiers have died but if we start banning Pakistani artists just in the name of terrorism we would be doing harm to innocent people again by being inhuman towards them and that’s not what India is about.
India has thought a good lesson to Pakistan by conducting surgical strikes and they will now have to think hundred times before trying to harm India in anyway. Let’s stop wasting time on creating unnecessary buzz around such issues and focus on better social causes. Hope better sense prevails after reading this. Raise your voice against the injustice done to Vanita Gaonkar in Goa and the other critical issues that we as a nation need to create awareness about.
