Bend it like Modi?

Having a superficial look at the Herald dated 30-12-2014 what caught my attention was the headline “Land acquisition Act Modi-fied” it provided food for thought and to what things and life would be in the near and distant future. Looks like the birth pangs have begun and the future is not going to be that rosy as one dreams of. What the UPA and Manmohan Singh government had introduced has been pushed to the backburner as obsolete and detrimental to development and not people-friendly. What have been seen as possibilities and probabilities are projected as necessary realities. Manmohan Singh was remote controlled by Soniaji and hence could not show his abilities and capabilities. Thus the honeymoon of UPA was over with the drubbing in the last election. They were, I mean the Congress party was totally decimated and pulverized and almost vanished into thin air.
A new era was born. An era of modified Modi where in all that was opposed in the past, tooth and nail will bend, come what may. Whatever may be the price we have to pay, whatever repercussions we may have, Modi’s diktat will rule the land and Bharat Mata will be a land flowing with milk and honey for all. This is all made possible because there is a lack of members for an effective opposition to checkmate the ruling dispensation.
At no point of time, I presume in the history of India, at the centre it was ruled by a party with such an absolute majority sending the other parties into oblivion.
Why so many drastic changes in rules and regulations, policies, being advocated in a short span of time? Did it really take our leaders 67 years to think about the wellbeing of its people? Is the “Make In India” campaign going to be a boon or a bane to us? Just because our neighbour has done it, we need not do it. Our PM has promised to change the laws so as to boost manufacturing on all fronts. He says that if we have to change the laws, rules and systems we are ready. What amuses is his emphatic reply and his authoritarian style of functioning with a bend of his index finger. Apart from this what the aam-aadmi really yearns for is justice and peace.
