It is finally official. Luizinho Faleiro who has been appointed as the new president of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee is hell-bent on carrying the same old legacy of his party of selling the same old wine in new bottles and digging the Congress party’s grave in Goa. In fact, Faleiro is currently seen promoting the same ugly faces/political rejects and dreaming of rejuvenating the Congress party in Goa. Now, how is that just possible? Doesn’t Faleiro know why the Congress party was given a sound thrashing in the last assembly elections in Goa? Yes, the reason why the Congress was punished so badly in the last assembly elections was because most Goans were fed up seeing the misdeeds and the same old ugly faces of the same party for years in Goa. Political matches (like in sports) are won fielding super fit young players and not by unleashing the same old ugly faces or unfit over aged non-performing players and senior leaders like Luizinho Faleiro of the Congress should understand this better than anyone else.
I think that if Luizinho Faleiro wants to get into serious business and bring Goans back to the Congress party again then the first thing he should do is forcibly retire all non-performing and rejected outdated political leaders by immediately sacking them for good as most of them have amassed huge wealth for themselves looting Goans sitting in the same party for years. He should not go to re-promote or give a second chance for all such stupid leaders by giving silly excuses of winnability factor but should go to unite and groom the right new leaders in the coming years seeing their own capabilities, loyalty and sincerity for the Congress party in Goa. Or else, Faleiro should get ready to take the current Congress tally of 9 seats to zero in the next assembly elections in Goa.
Seeing the ongoing ‘tamasha’ of the Congress, it looks like this party is definitely heading for another great political disaster at the hands of its own outdated leaders in Goa. Yeah, it’s R.I.P. for the Congress party for sure and that’s going to be another back to back history for this once great party in Goa…. God alone save the Congress party in Goa…
