Crucify him

A noble mind has noble thoughts, it speaks nobility, its works are noble too. The nature of such a person is humility, be he a man or a woman, the simplicity seen in such a person is not impressive to induce others to follow his footsteps because they are contrary to the world of glamour and show of a personality. The world rejects such a person giving not much of attention, but having to face mockery and criticism. The life of Jesus was centred round all these as he went about his mission to teach people how to live life and have it in abundance, but he was rejected, convicted, scourged and crucified by the very people who went seeking him when he worked miracles touching people, healing the sick, making the blind see, lame walk and the dumb speak. What Jesus was paid in return was rejection by his chosen apostles and chants of crucify him, but spare Barabbas the thief.
From Sunday, March 25, when we observed Palm Sunday, Jesus’s entry into Jerusalem, the Church commemorates the sufferings and death of Jesus. The Santos Passos highlights Jesus carrying the Cross followed by his crucifixion on Good Friday. It is time to reflect how much the church institutions have contributed in the field of education to educate the masses here in our country to enlighten and banish illiteracy.  But all the good works of the church have come to be criticised and attacks on the Christian community keep increasing with unfounded blames and accusations with senseless remarks and degrading treatment. It appears many a times that the very survival of the catholic community here in our country is in imbalance.
Jesus said: while the light is with you and you see the light, be people of the light and do not walk in the darkness. It simply means enrich life with works of goodness, kindness and build a kingdom for all to live in love, joy and peace that brotherhood will be respected as humanity in oneness with no differences shown to bring distress and misery. Are we willing to accept the light or chant   Crucify him who does good and speaks the truth.
