A Sikh rights group has reportedly filed a lawsuit asking the US court to designate RSS as a “Foreign terrorist organization”. Based on the lawsuit, the federal court in the Southern District of New York has already issued summons for US Secretary of State John Kerry to respond to the suit within 30 days. The said Sikhs for Justice (SFG) in the declaratory lawsuit has rightly accused the RSS for practicing a fascist ideology and running a passionate, vicious and violent campaign to turn India into a ‘Hindu-nation’ with a homogeneous religious and cultural identity. It has also accused the RSS for making headlines by running its recent communal campaign “The Home Coming” to forcibly convert Christians and Muslims to Hindus. The declaratory lawsuit has therefore requested the court to declare “RSS along with its affiliates/subsidiaries as Foreign Terrorist organization and to designate the same as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist entity.
The RSS (of which the BJP is a frontal political wing) is indeed a fascist organization historically fighting (still fighting) to take away all fundamental rights of minorities and trying to establish its own Taliban-type Hindu-rashtra entirely based on mythological fiction. As per historical facts, the role of this organization during the freedom struggle has been totally nil as the same has only been busy carrying serious attacks against its own citizens, especially the minorities spreading fabricated anti-religious stories of the past and deliberately dividing this country since independence unleashing its own hidden agenda.
I think that the RSS can only be remembered for the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, demolition of the Babri Masjid Mosque at Ayodhya, numerous Hindu-Muslim communal riots and attacks on churches, convents in different parts of India. The said controversial organization should have been banned long back for all its historical past misdeeds but the Congress party in spite of talking highly about secularism failed to do the same as they went to pamper them during their entire rule just to play vote bank politics and which ultimate helped the BJP (frontal political organization of the RSS) to finally take over the reins of this secular country in the last Lok Sabha elections. I think that a life-time ban on RSS and its affiliates would be great idea as the same will really help to protect the unity of this great diverse multi-religious secular country one’s for all.
