The Laxmikant Parsekar-led BJP government, keeping an eye on upcoming Assembly elections is currently seen making a big show by distributing LED bulbs at different public places under the guise of trying to save electric power and bringing “Ujhaala” or light in Goan houses/families in Goa. “If Goans can’t have bread then let them have cake” seem to be the message this government is somehow trying to convey though the media by indulging in such cheap gimmicks in Goa after doing absolutely nothing worthwhile to improve the living conditions of Goans since the last 4 years.
Now, what does the Laxmikant Parsekar led BJP government really think? Does the BJP government think that by distributing just three LED bulbs even in families having washing machines, geysers, microwave ovens, air-conditioners etc, it can go to save electric power and light up all the Goan houses in Goa?
I think that if the Parsekar-led BJP government wants to show any real concerns for Goans then it should immediately bring down the taxes of all essential commodities, lower the tariffs of electricity bills, provide free water supply 24 hours, provide free vegetables, fish, should provide free primary/secondary/higher education for every child and yes, should also provide free medicines/medical facilities for every Goan in all the government/private hospitals instead of bluffing everyone by distributing Led bulbs just to guarantee sure votes of a few blind-folded Goan fools in the upcoming Assembly elections in Goa. This is my open challenge for the ruling Laxmikant Parsekar led BJP government in Goa.
I think that the only chance for the ruling Parsekar-led BJP government to make a comeback in the upcoming Assembly elections is only by default with the split in the secular votes and with the help of all the opposition parties which are unfortunately still fully divided in Goa. God alone liberate Goans from the hands of this party which is currently officially slowly trying to destroy the centuries-old secular fabric of Goa playing its communal politics on a variety of issues, which includes MoI …. C’mon Goa, it’s time to wake up and to seriously unite this time to defeat all such destructive forces in the coming Assembly elections. Let’s fight to bring complete equality and freedom for all in all spheres of life, which includes in our children’s primary education in a secular state like Goa.
