DON’T JUDGE OTHERS SO THAT YOU WILL NOT BE JUDGED

My attention was drawn to the status of one of my friends on the Facebook, which stated “Don’t bother about people who judge you without knowing you. REMEMBER; dogs bark even if they don’t know the person.” This is so very true as we often tend to judge others even not knowing anything about that person but only because a certain perception is created by those who have no business of any kind, except to judge and talk ill about others.
I personally feel ashamed of such people as the above quote literary compares them to a barking dog. They have a low esteem of themselves and hence to enhance their ego, their main occupation is to bring others down. When do you bring someone down? It is only when the person that is gossiped/judged is above the one who gossips/judges, isn’t? In fact, they rather should judge themselves instead of judging others as they are not aware what others have to say about them. Nevertheless, for decency sake no one likes to talk about that. While you might be thinking that people judge you because of your behaviour, status, etc, apparently it’s the actions or body language that create a big part of the impression that people form of you.
This human nature is not a good side of it but a side of it all the same. Judging people is so wrong, in fact, we should all be getting along, and respecting each other as life is really very short.
I would compare those who judge without any genuineness to an animal as if you watch any animal in the wild they make immediate judgment calls on those around them because they have to; their lives depend on it. Likewise, we judge others because to some extent, our social and sometimes even physical lives depend on it. Animal nature says pick out the sick and weak and destroy them just because they believe that survival is of the fittest. So, are we animals, then?
Jesus says in Matthew 7:1-5 – “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”
People are human, they make mistakes, isn’t judging left up to our God Almighty? Only He knows what’s in one’s heart. Seriously if you think about it, you can be all sparkly clean on the outside but the inside is full of filth. Evil thoughts produce evil actions and good thoughts produce good actions. What’s worse then, the outside or the inside? God looks at the heart of man and his intentions, because if his intentions are good then he will produce good, but if his intentions are evil then he will produce evil. It is not the physical heart but the spiritual heart that God looks at. We can fool men but not God.
Finally, I believe that people who judge, don’t matter. People who matter, don’t judge.
