Everyone needs to be valued

The purpose of life is to serve others. However, when doing so, you should not expect something in return. Your intention should be to be a blessing and lessen other people’s misery.”Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can’t help them, at least don’t hurt them.” Dalai Lama The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.
Everyone needs to be valued. Leave no one behind. It is heartening to see the action taken by the responsible people of Canacona on behalf of the migrant minor’s rape in Chaudi after a meeting held in the chamber of the chairperson the CMC.
Every season is a time to utter a prayer of thanks for people who keep on giving and taking risks without whom we would have surrendered to the dark night of history a long time ago. The planet desperately needs more helpers, restorers, risk takers and lovers of all kinds, of the earth, of children. That we have people we can count on is a blessing, and surely today let us utter a prayer of thanks to all who agonize over the safety of our children and even of ourselves.
When we happen to switch on the television and hear about a horrible incident of rape or child abuse it makes us wonder what is happening to the fabric of our humanity. We must draw the line, and we can there is another way. It starts with all of us taking practical steps to reaffirm our common humanity. It is for time to tell whether justice will prevail for the innocent six old child of a migrant who was raped repeatedly for over two months. We as citizens of Goa applaud the action of the Jagrut Nagrik Samithi of Canacona and concerned Canacona residents.
It is our duty to ensure that the conversation does not end here .It is difficult to come to terms with evil. Child rights should be everybody’s concern and it should be the collective responsibility of all sections of the society to protect children and prevent abuse. “The Society needs to keep an eye and be more compassionate towards these sections of the society,” Auda said. Let us decide what kind of people we want to be!
