Many times man attempted to land on the moon or to discover outer space and failed, and was broken hearted. But that didn’t break the determination of the scientists. Their desire, hunger, thirst have taken India to the Moon.
The Lander Module of Chandrayaan 3 had the Rover in its belly when it landed on the Moon on August 23, 2023, on its Southern side.
Indians across the globe exploded in celebration at this grand achievement.
Researchers carried on wide variety of observations about this lunar surface earlier and now. It will continue to pave the way for future generation to explore more about the space, far, far away, from this Earth.
In Apollo 11, the American spaceflight, the astronauts were Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins. While Neil and Aldrin walked on the moon, Collins orbited alone in the command module. Neil Armstrong, was the first astronaut to walk on the Moon on July 20, 1969, he said: “That’s one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind.” Neil and Aldrin, stayed on the surface of the Moon for 21 hours and 36 minutes. They came back from the moon and joined Collins. Then they all returned to Earth and splashed down in the Pacific Ocean on July 24.
Adam was the first man to land on this planet called Earth; and we all landed in different regions through the female womb with body and soul — the spirit of life and the body its vehicle. Our landing on this Earth, was a proud moment for our parents and a grand celebrations for excited relatives and friendly neighbours.
Our soul has a journey on this earth, through the physical form of a human body. Originally the pure soul exists as a spark of the Divine. But after it plays its various roles, it gets tarnished with desires, vices, such as lust, anger, greed and become impure and separates from the Divine, just like the pure water in the clouds when it falls on the ground as rain, it mixes with mud and gathers impurities and turns dirty. The life span of the soul on this good Earth is 70 years, but for some it is bonus years to live a little longer. The Soul never dies because it is eternal breath of God. At the time of death the soul leaves the human body, but carries with it imprints of its existence faults while on Earth and splashes in the fires of Hell or lands on the peaceful shores of Heaven.
The Song — GPS — by Rosario de Benaulim, is not about the Global Positioning System of roads on this Earth, but about the GPS of Heaven; — that is Gospel of Personal Saviour, which men, before death, have to choose which road to take; for safety and security of our eternal soul to go back to Jesus.
Therefore, we have to see at every step the quality of our behaviour, whether we have taken the wrong route, intentionally or unintentionally and whether we are lagging behind in spiritual life. No one is perfect in this world, but that does not give any one the right to follow the wrong path. We should try to do the needful and change our life to be good and go back to Heaven.
