Waking up very early to catch first flight, back to back meetings with never ending discussions, returning home midnight only to go to office sharp at 7.30 am and again meeting after meeting with reviews, changing targets, newly popup priorities…..common in all Professionals career who are about to retire. With age catching up, it is natural with all to suffer age related health issues like BP, diabetes etc which will make one to think enough…. let’s retire and lead a simple and humble life with whatever savings and investments we secured.
What all these professionals forget is that it is only they who have undergone all the career ordeals and it is only their mindset to retire and lead a calm simple life and not of the other family members. Infact others may have an exact opposite thought process. Spouse may think all along I have lost the attention of my partner and sacrificed all my personal likings for the benefit of family and let me restart my life with new goal of activities to compensate whatever I lost so far! Children may look forward more freedom and a life of their own without any external interference.
