In fact, he is openly seen aggressively going against the wishes of the Goan people and fully supporting unwanted projects for his own benefit in the name of generating employment in Goa.
Well, I for one strongly believe that the so-called ‘huge-projects’ like Tiracol Golf Course Hotel, four lane roads, bridges, Mopa airport etc which are fully backed here by the Parsekar-led BJP government in the name of development are being brought not for the benefit of Goans but for outsiders. Forget the projects that are being pushed by Parsekar in the name of generating employment, even all the famous companies/factories like MRF, Zuaris, casinos and all the top hotels which were once brought here promising employment have now all stopped employing Goans as they prefer employing only outsiders. Now, under such circumstances, how can Mr. Parsekar expect Goans to believe in his loose talks over the issue of employment and expect all his much-hyped dream projects to really give us long term descent employment in Goa in future?
Today, Goans working in the UK with Portuguese passports are already facing an unsure future after the recent Brexit verdict but Mr. Parsekar instead of seriously showing any signs of solving their problem seem to be hell-bent on waiting to see their plight or suffering by taking things very lightly, why? Is it because of their religion?
The one thing I still don’t understand is that when Mr. Parsekar can support projects of unwanted notorious outsiders, can overnight declassify a coconut tree into grass to help builders lobby, can invite more casinos to pollute the Mandovi river, promote drugs, prostitution, gambling etc then why can’t he open the doors for Goans still working in the UK and who are currently facing serious trouble by giving them dual citizenships in Goa? Looks like for Mr. Parsekar, shielding his own close relatives caught even after accepting bribes misusing his own clout/position and reinstating them at a very fast rapid speed on duty has become more of a prestige for him than in helping these distressed Goans in the UK…. I think that Goans should henceforth learn not to bend it like David Beckham but like Parsekar coz this man who has said once that he has won a lottery ticket soon after his top elevation has really learnt the art of twistinglaws for his own personal benefit in a very special way .
