Hats off to the people of Quelossim for organizing a public awareness meeting in view of the proposed Mini Park approved by IPB in their village. Also thanks to all the Quelossim parishioners specially to the parish priest for coming forward for the good social cause. Our beloved MLA and minister Mrs Alina Saldanha who is always fighting for the destructive projects put forward by her own government is with the people of Quelossim to stop this destructive project. Our local panchayat body who is the first one to issue the NOC to such projects now washes their hands by saying that this project has been cleared by IPB and we are can’t do anything about it. When asked about the details of the project as how do this project will benefit the locals, what jobs will the locals get, how do they manage about the sewage etc, etc the local authority has no answer to these important questions. So how do this body gives a NOC to this mega project without doing any project study?
I appeal to all people specially the youth to come forward and fight unitedly against this mega project as this will no way bring any development in the village but total destruction. Even if we fail in the mission at least we will get the satisfaction that we all had tried. The project if comes will not affect only in Quelossim village, but also nearby Cortalim and Sancoale villages too. Because this Mini India Park project will be a entry pass to casinos in Zuari, marinas in Sancoale and so on.
I please request to all the people from Quelossim, Cortalim, Sancoale and Dabolim to unitedly fight and help each other to ban this type of destructive project in our villages. This will be the first and very important step for the betterment of our Mankullem Goa. I also request the NGOs to support to fight this noble cause.
