Income Tax returns e-filing 2018 java version has some flaws and, in few cases, return just cannot be uploaded. What is the solution or fault of assessee in that case. Form No. 5 tax calculation is not working -in spite of there is taxable income but it shows zero tax liability. There is another flaw on loading Pre-filled/xml from IT e-filing website -on opening TDS page as first page opens in window and on every click for other pages automatically it goes and open TDS page, then for every figure to fill one is required two clicks for this problem of java version.
Now last date is extended to August 31, 2018 – immediately Income Tax department must rectify this mistake and must check thoroughly all e-filing income tax forms – that every page on click is working properly.
Also last to last year one could upload ITR directly, but this year one is required to fill the form off-line and log on separately to upload it. And till last year there was facility to get ITR V – Acknowledgement on Computer Screen immediately on uploading ITR to print it or keep it in record from there. Now one is required to log in on IT website again to get it. This requires more time and is avoidable. Earlier facility must be reintroduced on this portal of e filing of ITRs.
Also, e-verification is troublesome and a waste of time. The change of password is doubly checked through e-mail and mobile pin, then why have any other e -verification for return uploaded authentication? Linking to Aadhaar card is avoidable. E-filing must be simple, with minimum steps to upload I-T returns and other correspondence if required.
When Password is accepted finally to upload the ITR, automatically the requirement of posting ITR V or e-verification goes awry.
The present I-T forms are too lengthy-having much number of pages than required-Form No. 1 SAHAJ has 5 pages; Form 2-19 pages, F 3-43 pages; F4-8 page; F 5-48 pages.
I-T department is trying to get your Encyclopedia of income (and expenditure in major incomes / assets?) with it! Can we call IT Forms simple to fill and e-file?
Also, it requires knowledge of each and every section of Income Tax Act by even smaller or senior citizens to fill it correctly as at every column to be filled it gives reference to some section – that is good but practically most assessees just cannot even understand income tax act which is too complicated and has difficult interpretation of many sections of Income Tax Act.
Further, all income tax forms are like mini scrutiny forms. An ordinary taxpayer cannot fill these forms without the help of professional tax consultants.
