Solution or leverage to the problem?

Savio D’Costa
When we face a situation that has gripped the World with the fact that no one is safe in this era anymore, what happened in Las Vegas has been a heartbreaking, shocking and a frightening picture of our future. We do not have the time to know our own in this E-world, life has become so busy that we don’t have the time to see where we stand. A deadliest massacre in modern history has become a nightmare for the survivors from this horrific  experience. We have always relied on our news channels to provide us with the real facts but looks like we are looking at a different picture totally. News channels such as CNN are discussing the whole episode with so much information and clues that they actually can conceive another Steven Paddock who has shocked the World with the horrific act of mass murder. We count on the media to produce us with the information that helps decline the crime rate but from what we see on television is totally a different story.
A whole batch of experienced law enforcement personnel discussing “what and when” who should actually be discussing “how to” is really disgusting and disappointing, as a we face such a challenges in our modern World it is highly imperative we find measures how to stop these cruel acts rather than discussing on television in front of the whole world how the accused did it and what were the motives.
It has become a point of interest to focus on these kind of crimes since India went through a similar phase on Nov 7, 2006 which was a turning point in Indian Crime history. It was the media itself which provided the information through news channels to these culprits to carry out and re-structure their plans. If at all this was avoided there would have been a lot more survivors form this attack in Mumbai.
What has been a tragedy in Las Vegas can actually be an eye opener to the whole World to be prepared for these kind of horrific acts. When our media can actually work on being a solution to the problem rather than contributing to be a leverage to the problem.
