Stop behaving like extortionists

Cops from the traffic cell instead of continuously keeping a strict hawk’s eye against all those indulging in over-speeding, over-taking dangerously from any side, talking on phones whilst riding on roads are always seen harassing only the two-wheeler riders for not wearing helmets and indulging in official extortion-type of racket by targeting their hard-earned money on a daily basis. Why? Is it because most of these two-wheeler riders are coming from poor family background and are easy to target in Goa?
Well, I personally always believe that the reason why a number of people die in road accidents in Goa then that’s not for not wearing helmets but because most people here over-speed even on narrow roads and drive recklessly (some even under the consumption of alcohol) without even concentrating like blind fools thereby killing innocents through road-accidents. These road-users just don’t have patience as they simply want to indulge in road-racing against each other and I just don’t understand why.  Maybe for most road-users in Goa, speed gives them a mighty real thrill and due to which they believe in putting other people’s lives in danger through their reckless driving. Unfortunately, these people should ask for themselves before indulging in over-speeding or reckless driving in Goa. Are our congested Goan roads (some of which are full of pot-holes) really fit for racing and over-speeding?
I think that if the cops from the traffic cell are really serious in saving precious lives in Goa then instead of wasting their precious time extorting the hard-earned money only of the poor two-wheeler riders for not wearing helmets hiding behind isolated places behaving like those road-side extortionists, they should start taking strong action against all the real culprits on all roads who habitually enjoy over-speeding, over-taking dangerously, talking on phones whilst riding and who love to put innocent people’s life in danger through their most irresponsible behaviour.  Yes, our cops from the traffic cell should first learn to catch the bull by the horns and not the tail if they really want to achieve 100% positive success or want to stop people from dying in road accidents in Goa in the near future.  Are the cops from the traffic cell really listening?
