The murderous beef ban brigade is having a free run in the country with even our otherwise eloquent supreme leader mouthing some meandering platitudes on the issue.
But since we live in this blighted land called Goa we demand to know from our elected government who we foolishly, indeed criminally supported what are the freedoms we enjoy here, in Goa without getting killed, lynched or bludgeoned to death?
Can a protest rally be held against vitriolic, venom spewing organizations like the Sanatan Sanstan or should we keep silent only to remain alive. Can corruption scandals within the BJP be spoken of or are we crusaders against corruption only if the targets of attack are the Dhavlikar brothers and Vijay and Churchill and Diggu and other sundry political terrorists?
Does fighting passionately for the environment, clearly a divine duty according to all religious faiths result in your unceremonious decapitation as seen with a genuine Goan lodestar like Alina?
Does the brazenly obnoxious even murderous agenda of elements of the Sangh Parivar in the country deserve at least a token condemnation by this allegedly “secular inclusive” government in Goa that boasts of some half a dozen lily white (ok make that yellow) Catholic MLA’s or is it that pluralism must be paid lip service to, but must be destroyed eventually in search of the elusive Hindu Rashtra?
But there’s one thing I’m completely confident of: This politics of hate division and complete lack of compassion will be roundly defeated by the very Hindus. The BJP assumes to be it’s captive, servile vote bank.
