The United States has launched a fresh wave of strikes on targets in Iran, saying the operations were aimed at weakening Tehran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.

Speaking after the operation, Trump said the attacks would “get much worse” if Tehran carried out further assaults on shipping, signalling the possibility of additional military action amid escalating tensions.
Meanwhile, Iranian state media reported explosions in the cities of Bushehr, Bandar Abbas and Sirik, although authorities have not yet provided details on the extent of the damage or any casualties.
The latest strikes mark a further escalation in the conflict between the United States and Iran, raising concerns over regional stability and the security of one of the world’s busiest maritime trade routes.
