The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), spearheading protests over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, on Monday submitted a memorandum to Union Health Minister and BJP president JP Nadda, outlining three key demands. These include the immediate release of activist Sonam Wangchuk from hospital without restrictions, the resignation or removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and compensation of Rs 1 crore for the families of NEET aspirants who allegedly died by suicide following the examination controversy.
The memorandum was handed over after a meeting between the CJP delegation and Nadda. In a post on X, Nadda said the initiative for talks came from the protesters and discussions began around 11.50 am. He described the meeting as cordial, stating that the delegation first held detailed verbal discussions before submitting a written memorandum around 4 pm. Nadda also appealed to the protesters to end their agitation and help restore normalcy.

The meeting came hours after thousands of CJP supporters attempted to march towards Parliament from Parliament Street, demanding accountability over alleged irregularities in national examinations. Delhi Police stopped the protesters with heavy barricading, while reports from the protest site indicated the use of lathicharge and tear gas to prevent the march from reaching Parliament.
In its memorandum, the CJP said its agitation began on June 6 over alleged examination irregularities and later expanded across multiple cities. The organisation claimed that issues including the NEET-UG paper leak, CBSE Class 12 portal glitches and delays in the CUET examination reflected systemic failures within the education system.
Following the meeting, the CJP expressed optimism over the government’s response, saying the minister listened to its concerns with empathy and that discussions were held in a positive atmosphere. The organisation urged its supporters to remain peaceful while awaiting the Centre’s response to the demands outlined in the memorandum.
