Tehran: Iran has dismissed reports suggesting that it is set to hold negotiations with the United States in the coming days, clarifying that no meetings with American officials have been scheduled during its delegation’s visit to Qatar.
Speaking to the media, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei stated that there are currently no negotiations planned with the United States at any level.

Baghaei also rejected speculation that the simultaneous presence of US representatives in Qatar was connected to the Iranian delegation’s visit. He explained that Iran’s trip is solely aimed at monitoring the implementation of provisions outlined in an existing memorandum of understanding, including Article 11, and is unrelated to any engagement with Washington.
He further clarified that discussions on a broader or comprehensive agreement have not yet begun, indicating that the process has not progressed to the stage of negotiating a final deal.
The remarks come amid continued international attention on the future of diplomatic engagement between Iran and the United States, with Tehran reiterating that no formal negotiations are currently underway.
