The Israeli military has said that months of preparation and intelligence gathering enabled its latest coordinated airstrikes on senior Iranian political and military figures in Tehran. According to a report by Iran International, the operation targeted multiple high-value locations across the Iranian capital on Saturday.
Officials stated that an extensive intelligence effort was undertaken to identify the right moment — specifically when top regime leaders would be assembled in one place. The military noted that the timing of the strike was deliberately shifted to the morning, rather than at night, despite Iran being on heightened alert.
Israel claimed the operation achieved “tactical surprise for the second time,” referencing similar strikes conducted during the June 2025 war. The military described the action as a precise and coordinated campaign designed to disrupt Iran’s leadership structure and strategic planning capabilities.
