Olympic medalist and boxing icon Mary Kom has broken her silence following criticism over remarks about her ex-husband Onler Kom made on a TV show. In an Instagram video, Kom said her statements were the result of years of emotional pain, betrayal, and loss of trust that surfaced in an overwhelming moment.
She claimed she was financially cheated and lost land bought through her own earnings, which was eventually taken over by underground groups. Clarifying her position, Mary Kom said her marriage functioned well for many years before trust issues led to its collapse. She also pointed out that she refrained from speaking publicly even after her divorce in April 2025.
