Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk has issued a handwritten message from Safdarjung Hospital, where he was shifted during his indefinite hunger strike. In the note, Wangchuk described his campaign as India’s “second freedom movement,” calling for an India “free from fear” and “free from injustice.”
Wangchuk urged citizens to join the proposed ‘Chalo Sansad’ march on July 20, saying the movement is aimed at seeking accountability and reforms. The protest has also been backed by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which has demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination irregularities.
