A social media account linked to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang has claimed responsibility for the firing outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in Mumbai in the early hours of Sunday. The post, shared from an account named Shubham Lonkar Arzoo Bishnoi, said the attack was carried out by individuals identified as Arzoo Bishnoi, Shubham Lonkar, Hari Boxer and Harman Shandu. Calling the incident a “trailer”, the message issued a warning to the filmmaker and others in the Hindi film industry. The threat came hours after assailants fired at the first floor of a nine-storey building in Juhu around 12.45 am. At least five rounds were fired, with one bullet hitting the glass of a gym. Police and forensic teams are investigating.
