A young YouTuber, Komali, died by suicide within the jurisdiction of the Raidurgam Police Station, police said. According to officials, Komali had been in a relationship with another YouTuber for the past three years and was reportedly under emotional distress. The incident occurred when she was alone at home.
Before taking the extreme step, Komali sent a final text message to her mother, B Satya Varalakshmi, who works in Kuwait as a babysitter. Police said the message was sent at around 1.34 am on February 23. In the emotional note, she wrote, “I love you mummy so much. Jagratha. Thammudini baaga chusuko (Take care of younger brother).”

After receiving the message, her mother repeatedly tried calling Komali, but the phone was switched off. Growing worried, she contacted Komali’s friend, Manasa, and asked her to check on her.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances that led to the incident. Further inquiries are underway.
