PANJIM: GoaMiles mobile taxi app, an imitative by the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) has claimed over 1.85 lakh downloads since its inception six months ago.
“From its very inception, GoaMiles has strived towards constantly bettering the transport system of Goa with its easy to use app, safety measures and reliable service. But, like any start up, it has seen its own share of ups and downs. The GoaMiles mobile app has certainly gained popularity in Goa in a very short span of time. There have been over 75,000 downloads on the iOs Application and over 1,10,000 downloads of the Android app,” Utkarsh Dabhade, Managing Director of GoaMiles told reporters during a function to celebrate the completion of six successful months in Panjim on Friday.
With only 150 taxis during the launch of the app, GoaMiles presently has more than 1000 taxis plying on different routes. “Our objective is to make the facility cashless and online”, he said.
