Mormugao Police on Friday evening arrested a person, after they raided the control room of a cable operator at Headland Sada for allegedly telecasting Zee TV satellite signals to its subscribers without valid permission from the authorized distributor.
Police arrested Ramesh Rajaram Suryavanshi and seized 13 decoders that were used for transmitting Zee Turner satellite signals to the customers of the cable operator.
According to Manjunath Kanakanavar, distributor for Zee Turner Ltd, the satellite signals were transmitted illegally by the cable operator to its customers.
