10 Bangladeshis detained in Sattari for interrogation

Bilal Anwar Ankhon, a Bangladeshi national residing at Nagvem who was arrested two days ago told the police that a large number of his people were illegally residing in Sattari.

VALPOI: The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) detained 10 Bangladeshi nationals from Bhuipal and Salelim, Sattari and they were being interrogated by the police.

The drive against illegal immigrants intensified after Bilal Anwar Ankhon, a Bangladeshi national residing at Nagvem who was arrested two days ago told the police that a large number of his people were illegally residing in Sattari. 

“Suspect Akhon confessed that Bangladeshi residents were at work in many villages of Sattari,” said a police officer and also stated that the illegal scrapyard at Nagvem was being run by these Bangladeshi residents.
