MARGAO: In a tragic incident reported at Bhati, Nessai a 10-year-old girl succumbed to injuries sustained during a fall at her residence on Saturday.
The Maina-Curtorim police said the incident occurred when the victim, studying in Class VI, was watching TV along with her younger sister. While watching TV, the victim accidentally fell off from the chair, which she had placed on the bed. The impact was such that the victim sustained serious facial injuries.
She was rushed to the South Goa District Hospital, Margao, and was later shifted to GMC, Bambolim, in a critical condition, where she succumbed to her injuries.
