108 Ambulance emergency staff were assaulted while transporting a patient to the hospital. The driver and nurse had attended a call at Calangute where two people were injured in a self accident after ramming their scooter into a van.
The rider was unconscious while the pillion rider Manjit Singh though conscious was intoxicated. On the way to the hospital, Singh repeatedly started slapping the female nurse and assaulted the driver with a kadda. The accused were treated and later arrested by the police.
