Even as Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant chaired a review meeting that resolved to curb COVID-19 related mortalities, Goa registered 11 more deaths on Tuesday.
Besides, the State also recorded 613 new cases and 446 recoveries. The confirmed cases have crossed the 25,000-mark and now stand at 25,511 while active cases have gone past 5102. The death toll has now reached 315.
Of the 11 deaths, nine were at GMC two were at ESI, Margao. One death occurred at GMC within an hour of admission.
DHS observed that deaths occurring within less than 24 hours have usually tested positive on the same day, which implies that they ignored their symptoms for a significant amount of time and presentation is only at the stage where it’s unbearable anymore.
As per the bulletin, 178 beds are vacant in North Goa and 539 in South Goa.
