PANJIM: The Prisons department has decided to release 11 murder convicts, who are undergoing imprisonment for 14 years and more, as recommended by State Sentence Review Board.
Of these, 10 convicts are lodged at Central Jail Aguada whereas the 11th convict is serving sentence at Central Prison Belgaum for over 19 years.
The oldest among the jailbirds has been imprisoned for more than 26 years.
