An 11-year-old girl met with a watery grave at Varca on Sunday while trying to cross a stream.
Colva police said Rupa Gosavi was crossing the water body along with her relatives when they had gone to the village for scrap collection. The family hails from Hubli, the police added.
The body has been sent to the Hospicio for postmortem. Colva police have registered a case of unnatural death.
