MARGAO: Maina Curtorim police have registered an assault case against Anwar Shaikh, Bhageera and 10 others following a complaint by 26-year old driver Damodar Singh.
Singh in his complaint stated that on January 13, he was playing cricket with his friends at the Ramnagiri ground when at around 5.30 pm Anwar along with Bhageera and 10 others came and began assaulting him.
He claimed that he was assaulted with a danda, koita and fist blows while at one time Anwar even threatened to kill him at knife point.
The complainant also alleged that the group tried to kidnap him but managed to escape.
