PONDA: Recovery Officer and Assistant Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Arbitration/Execution, South Goa District H S Gawde on Friday issued demand notice to 13 former Goa Dairy officials to recover Rs 1.35 crore in connection with alleged excess recruitment of 33 employees in the dairy in the year 2015.
These include some former chairmen, former managing director, six of the presently disqualified Board of Directors, former directors and also one legal heir of one deceased director.
According to one farmer, who is also a Goa Dairy official, some farmers had complained to ARCS in 2015 demanding inquiry into alleged recruitment of around 33 excess staff in Goa Dairy.
Based on this complaint, the officials of ARCS conducted inquiry and served notice asking to pay the Rs 1.35 crore amount within 15 days failing which further action would be taken under Rule 124 as per law.
