MARGAO: A 13-year-old school student was allegedly kidnapped by an unknown person from one of the Salcete villages.
As per the complaint filed by the victim’s mother at Cuncolim Police Station, an unknown person kidnapped her minor daughter from her lawful guardianship.
“The 13-year-old had left for school on Thursday morning however she did not return home till late evening,” the complaint said.
The police have collected detailed description of the girl student and have sent wireless messages across Goa and neighbouring States police stations.
The police based on the complaint, registered an offence under Section 363 of IPC for kidnapping a minor girl and also 8 of Goa Children Act. Police informed that the alleged accused is unknown. Police Sub-Inspector Kavita Rawat is conducting the investigation.
