PANJIM: A total of 1,484 beneficiaries in the State have been certified under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (PMGDISHA) Scheme of the Central government till date.
Out of these, 874 are from North Goa District and 610 are from South Goa. As of now, there are 46 registered centres in the State of Goa.
The Central government’s target for Goa is to digitally literate 40,000 citizens under this scheme.
The PMGDISHA Scheme aims to provide quality technical and digital training – both theoretically and practically — to the large number of youth from the backward or rural areas to make them equally digitally educated.
