15 more bike ambulance added to fleet through private sponsorship

PANJIM: The management of Merck Pharmaceuticals on Tuesday sanctioned Rs 50 lakh for 15 bike ambulances which will be operational at different locations. With the addition of these 15 bike ambulances, the tally has reached 35.
“I was very happy that they came today and gave us a sanction letter for Rs 50 lakh, for sponsoring 15 bike ambulances which will be operational at 15 different locations so we will be having a total of 35,” Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said.
He added, “Today not only the ambulances but also the operational costs and other things involved with running of these 15 ambulances will be taken care of by Merck.”
He further said that saving lives is the mission of government and the health department and that he is really happy to be associated with Merck pharmaceuticals.
