Calangute locals wonder how the vehicles entered Goa when the borders are sealed and no outsider is allowed to enter the State without valid permission

Mapusa: Around 15 two-wheelers with Maharashtra registration outside a hotel in Calangute late Tuesday evening created panic among residents of Tiwaiwado.

Locals wondered how the vehicles entered Goa overnight when the borders are sealed and no outsider is allowed to enter the State without valid permission.

Locals in a video also claimed that they are scared and felt that their health has been compromised by allowing outsiders to enter the State without getting them tested and quarantined.

The locals contacted the sarpanch as well as Calangute police.

After reaching the spot, police initially drove the people away since Section 144 is in force and also informed the locals that the hotel is registered as a quarantine center.

Meanwhile, one Walter Lobo uploaded a video on social media questioning the safety of the locals residing in nearby areas.
