15-yr-old boy found dead at stone quarry

A 15-year-old boy from Malpan-Sattari was found dead at a laterite stone extraction site at Malpan late Monday evening.
According to Valpoi Police, Sharlappa Yedgri was reported missing since Sunday evening. However, his body was found floating in the water, which was accumulated due to rain, at stone extraction site at Malpan on Monday evening.
Valpoi Police along with Valpoi Fire Brigade personnel fished out the body, which was later sent for autopsy at GMC Hospital in Bambolim.
Yedgri was working at the extraction site and was residing at Malpan.
According to police, the incident might have occurred when the deceased had gone to bathe at the spot on Sunday evening.
PSI N D Parwar conducted the panchanama and further investigations are in progress under the supervision of PI Shivram Vaigankar.
