Sixteen students across the state will be visiting the defense research laboratory and other space based establishments at Hyderabad.
The students will be leaving on May 4 as a part outreach scientific study tour.
“This is an exceptional opportunity for the children to explore and discover sciences by interacting with the scientists at national level and learn the advancement in various scientific spheres and investigations,” Dr De Souza chief scientist and western regional coordinator of the mission, said.
During the five day visit to Hyderabad, the students will visit Defense research and development organisation- missile laboratory and other establishments.
They will interact with the scientists from various laboratories and commission knowledge on astronomical science, electronic in space science, functioning of various experimental and remote sensing based satellites, Indian space launch vehicles and rockets and many other things.
Dr De Souza informed that a second scientific mission would be commissioned shortly to various departments of space establishments at Banglore.
The child scientists for the Hyderabad mission are- Austin Gomendes, Luanne Menezes, Manisha Bhale, Sahil Gaonkar, Reubean Rodrigues, Antara Bhinde, Gaitre Chari, Aniktak Kamat, Veda Manerikar, Balaji Parab, pradnya Nasnodkar, Safgar magik, Anvit Kelkar, Adrian Fernandes and Leicester Gomendes.
