17 Salcete P’yats have not submitted GPDP

MARGAO: Carmona Sarpanch Allwyn Jorge has taken strong exception to the circular issued by Director of Panchayat pertaining to the Gram Panchayat Development Plan and said unnecessarily secretaries are being harassed through it.
The Director of Panchayat vide its circular has listed 17 panchayats in Salcete Taluka that have not submitted the GPDP for the year 2020-2021 even though the same was to be submitted by December 31, 2019.
The 17 panchayats listed are Betalbatim, Cana Benaulim, Carmona, Camurlim, Chandor Cavorim, Colva, Davorlim Dicarpale, Dramapur Sirlim, Guirdolim, Loutolim, Macasana, Navelim, Rachol, Rumdamoll Davorlim, Seraulim, Varca and Velim.
The secretaries have been asked to submit the GPDP at the earliest failing which action will be taken against the secretary.
