PONDA: Ponda police have booked two persons for kidnapping a 15-year-old minor girl from Borim on Tuesday.
The accused have been identified as Manoj Bauri (18), a native of Jharkhand and Kiran Sanap Maruti Kurade (21), a resident of Bethora and a native of Kolhapur in Maharashtra.
According to Ponda police, Kiran Kurade had helped Manjo Bauri in kidnapping the minor girl on his motorcycle from Ponda to Margao. Manjo Bauri is learnt to have fled to Bangalore with the kidnapped girl.
Acting on a complaint of kidnap by the girl’s parents, police arrested Kiran Kurade. Ponda Police Sub-Inspector Nelson Colaco is conducting investigation in the matter.
