MAPUSA: Two Brazilians and one Uttar Pradesh native were rescued from drowning at Candolim and Baga Beach.
According to the sources, two Brazilian nationals aged 27 and 28 were rescued at Candolim Beach. Sources said that as they ventured into the sea for a swim, they got pulled in by a rip current and started drifting into the deeper waters. Noticing the victims struggling for help, Drishti lifesavers Bhaskar Ghatkar, Chandan Giri and Mehboob Tahasildar rushed into the waters and secured the victims with the help of a rescue board and brought the duo ashore.
In another incident at Baga Beach, a 29-year Uttar Pradesh native had entered into the sea. Experiencing a sudden change in the water levels, the victim found himself caught in danger. As he attempted to return to the shore, he was unable to swim and called out for help. Drishti lifesavers Suryakant Paryekar and Sagar Naik on noticing the victim rushed to his aid and secured him with a rescue board and brought him ashore.
