PONDA: A two-wheeler rider and a pillion rider escaped with minor injuries after their vehicle came under the wheels of a truck along the NH17B at Borim on Thursday afternoon.
According to reports, the accident occurred at about 3.15 pm when the two-wheeler was reportedly overtaking the truck at Borim. The two-wheeler and the truck carrying soft drinks bottles were traveling towards Borim bridge.
The two-wheeler collided against an oncoming four-wheeler before coming under the front wheels of the truck. The rider and the pillion rider were flung, while the two-wheeler was completely damaged. Both the rider and pillion rider escaped with minor injuries and were taken to Hospicio Hospital in Margao.
Traffic was paralyzed for some time; however, Ponda Police traffic cell along with Ponda Police managed to streamline the traffic movement.
