MARGAO: Maina Curtorim police on Monday arrested two other persons in connection with the assault on a taxi driver at Sonsoddo and obtained a two-day police remand. The two arrested earlier were granted conditional bail.
The arrested include Naushad Shaikh and Asif Lohar both residents of Housing Board at Rumdamol-Davorlim.
It may be recalled that on October 16, Ibrahim Saju, a taxi driver called up another cabbie Asif Lohar and in quarrel, accused him of charging low fare thus depriving him of customers. Ibrahim called Asif at Sonsoddo to discuss the matter. Asif arrived at the spot with an armed group with weapon .and attacked Ibrahim.
