PANJIM: The Pernem police arrested two persons, one hailing from Uttar Pradesh and the other from West Bengal, for attempting to snatch a gold chain from a lady at Korgao.
According to Pernem DySP Jivba Dalvi, on February 1, two persons had attempted to snatch a gold chain of the woman, while she was walking at Korgao.
An FIR was registered under sections 356 and 379 of IPC in connection with crime.
Various teams were formed for technical and mobile surveillance and based upon meticulous analysis of technical aspects, the accused Niraj
Gupta from Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh and Totan Sannyasin from Dakshin Dinajpur, West Bengal, were arrested.
