At Drampaur in Navelim Kanil Sheikh was arrested with 5 frogs while at Aquem, Succorro Fernadnes of Davorlim was caught with 11 frogs.
The team led by RFO Eusebio Braganza arrested both the persons red-handed while frog poaching and rescued 17 Indian Bull frogs in total.
The patrolling team consisting of RFO and members of wildlife rescue squad intercepted Sheikh near the Drampaur canal while catching frogs. Fernandes was found by the same team in the fields behind St Sebastian cemetery at Davorlim while frog poaching.
All the frogs have been released in the natural habitat. Braganza added that both persons are to be produced before the magistrate for remand and that they have also attached a bike used in frog poaching.
