2 held for threatening neighbour

Two persons were arrested by police on charges of threatening to gun down their neighbour at Polem in Loliem-Canacona late Wednesday night.
According to Canacona police, one Ulhas Raikar of Polem and his accomplice Dilkush Pagi have been arrested for allegedly assaulting one Deepak Pagi and then threatening him with a loaded gun.
The incident occurred on Wednesday at about 10.15 pm near Polem beach where they resides.
Police informed that Raikar with the help of his accomplice mercilessly assaulted his Deepak Pagi over some property matters and than brought a gun aiming threateningly to kill him.
However, after more confrontations, Raikar along with his accomplice are learnt to have made good their escape, but left the loaded gun behind, which was confiscated and seized by the police.
According to sources, both the accused evaded the police manhunt that followed the incident, but the police arrested them on Thursday morning. It is learnt that the seized gun had no license.
According to police, the duo are charged under Sections 323, 506 (2) IPC and U/s 3 and 25 of Arms Act and will be produced in the court on Friday.
