PANJIM: In two different drug raids, the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) has arrested one Nigerian national and a resident from Anjuna for possessing drug worth over Rs 24 lakh.
In a first raid held at Anjuna on May 17, ANC along with Anjuna Police Sub Inspector Dinesh Gadekar arrested Allan Bainbridge following a raid on the house. Bainbridge, 48 year old, is arrested for possessing 6.6 gms of liquid LSD and 11. 4 gms of MDMA total worth Rs 21 lakh.
The accused was earlier arrested at by Anjuna police for possession of charas and was released on bail accordingly. Bainbridge is remanded to three days police custody.
In another raid conducted Sunday morning at Canca, Parra, ANC arrested a Nigerian national Chucks Egbo for possessing 65 square shape pieces of LSD paper weighing 0.7 gms worth Rs 3.25 lakh.
Both the accused have been booked under NDPS Act.
