Two persons died after their bike collided with a truck at Anmod Ghat, 6 kms from Mollem on Tuesday.
According to Collem police, both the deceased David John Baila and Yakub Mariamma John who are natives of Dandeli in Karwar but residing in Vasco were proceeding from Ramnagar to Mollem when the mishap took place.
The duo who succumbed in the ID hospital, Ponda had suffered severe head injuries and their legs fractured.
The police later arrested the driver of the truck Anthony Kaitan D’Souza. He has been booked under various sections of IPC and MCVA.PSI Praveen Gauns is investigating under the supervision of PI Manoj Mardolkar.
